Versipel Collective – violin
Chloe Helene Groth, violinist, is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Master of Music in Teaching and a Bachelor of Music in Performance, studying with Gregory Fulkerson and Marilyn MacDonald. Chloe currently lives in West Hartford, CT, where she is a freelance orchestral musician and plays frequently with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony, Hotchkiss Philharmonic, and other local ensembles. She frequently returns to New Orleans, performing with the Versipel New Music Collective and as a substitute with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Greenville Symphony and Asheville Symphony in the Carolinas. Chloe performs with the Silver Bay String Quartet every summer in Silver Bay, NY. Also a passionate educator of over fifteen years, Chloe has completed numerous levels of training in the Suzuki Method, and maintains private studios in Connecticut and Louisiana. She also serves as a frequent clinician, coach, and judge for orchestra programs in Connecticut. As both a violinist and teacher, Chloe believes that music serves as a conduit for creating beauty, connection, and sensitivity in the world, and that it gives both performers and listeners the opportunity to find self-expression and joy in the adventure of making and witnessing art.
